Happened to read Mohanakrishnan ‘s ‘ Ramaayanathiloode Oru Punarayanam’ Published by Veda Books, Kozhikode.
What a fantastic treatise ! The author has compared the most important parts of Valmiki Ramayanam with the equivalent ones of Adhyathma Ramayanam.
Mohanakrishnan has derived his own explanations for many verses, which are otherwise misunderstood by common man. His ability to use proper words apt to the mood of the context is extraordinary. His analysis of what the creators meant by penning down the verses, what the characters meant by saying them, is highly commendable.
Mohanakrishnan has given a huge contribution to the present generation by bringing in the relevance of advices and principles of Ramayana in dealing with the current political, psychological, transactional scenario of the world in general and Bharath in particular.
He has dealt with the latter part of Ramayana (Kishkindakantam, Sundarakantam and Yudhakantam) more in detail than the earlier chapters of Ramayana. This is justified since the earlier parts are taught and are known to the common man. It is the latter part from Seethapaharanam to the Agnipravesham that required more explanations. Mohanakrishnan has clearly understood this requirement.

For the excellent vocabulary used, for the exemplary explanations of selected verses, for giving inner meanings of verses in both the versions, for bringing in the relevance to the current affairs and for writing what is required and avoiding what is not.
A marvelous treasure to read, indeed.
